Observations

2021

This is a research-based exploration in scale, form, iteration, and design history. Falszywe Banknoty (couterfeit banknotes) is a Polish movie whose promotional poster was designed by Bronislaw Zelek in 1966. Using this poster as inspiration, I recreated the elements it used, and reimagined the composition in 50 different ways - effectively making 50 new posters using the same components that were in Zelek's original design.

The final deliverable for these posters was a scale-based exploration using Risograph printing techniques. From the new designs I created promotional posters, drink tickets, and hypothetical entrance tickets for the 1960's movie.
